I use a service called remind101 to remind parents/students of upcoming homework assignments and tests. No phone numbers are exchanged in this process. I send reminders through their website at which point they convert it to email or SMS form. (Texts cannot be responded to, but you can email cbaker@mthcs.org with questions and I can reply that way)
